The 12 Frugal Weeks Before Christmas is a new series I am writing. I hope you are as excited to read it as I am to write it. You will find the series here every Wednesday until Christmas. At the end of the series, I will put all of the tips together in one post so you can easily access it. Just so you know, there may be affiliate links in this article and if you purchase something from one of the companies I have linked to, I will make a small commission.
I love Christmas. It is the best holiday ever. I mean ever! It is also the most expensive holiday ever. At least it has been in our home.
I don’t know about you, but things are getting more and more expensive and that is one of the things that makes sticking to a budget hard. Also, as my daughter gets older, gifts seem to get more expensive too.
Big and I are sticking to a pretty strict budget this year. You may not always think that when you see some of the recipes I share, but trust me, I am on a budget. The meat is always purchased on sale or in bulk, I use coupons and shop sales and do without many times. I have always been a person who has had a close eye on the budget and now I will share some of my ideas with you.
Before I go much further on my budget (that is for another day), I want to give you an outline of this series. Each week will have a topic and I will list as many ways to save money as I can come up with.
Week 1: Planning
Week 2: Holiday Cards
Week 3: Wrapping Paper
Week 4: Gift Giving
Week 5: Decorating inside and outside
Week 6: Shopping
Week 7: Meals
Week 8: Entertainment
Week 9: Company coming?
Week 10: Party time
Week 11: Shopping for next year
Week 12: Saving for next year
Do you see a topic or two that you find is calling your name? Hopefully you will find a few tips that you never thought of and will be able to use. Let me know if you have any questions or any tips you want to share. I am always happy to add them to my list and save more money.
