Recipe submission sites for bloggers can really help get your recipe out there. I have a couple of favorites that bring regular and good traffic to my site, they are Yummly and Fridgg.
Being a food blogger is a lot of work, you not only have to write about how great your recipe is, you also have to cook it, take photos of it, edit the photos and then finally get to writing the post.
Adding your great recipe to recipe submission sites really doesn’t take that long. Many of them just want you to share a photo and give them a link. They do the rest of the work for you.
Yummly will ask you to share your full recipe unless you sign up as a Yummly publisher. If you sign up as a publisher, Yummly will truncate your post and send the reader to your blog. You can read my post (and copy it if you want – just switch it up a little) to apply to become a publisher.
When you get ready to post your wonderful photos and recipe, make sure you have your links ready and have easy access to your photos. Have some tags in mind also.
One thing that you need to keep in mind is that none of these sites want to see a text overlay on your photo. Make sure there are no words. If you don’t normally share a photo without words, take a minute to create one for these sites.
Here are some great Recipe Submission sites you will want to share your recipe at:
Food Gawker (hard to get published)
If you can think of any other sites that you normally submit to, please take a moment to leave me a comment to I can add it to my list.
