I am loving this recipe for cajun shrimp. It is made on a large sheet pan and baked in the oven. Oh My! It is so good.
My family and I, well mostly me, have been on a Cajun food kick lately. My recipe for Cajun blackened chicken thighs is often on our menu. We all love the heat that comes from the spices in the cajun blend.
I recommend making your own easy spice mixes. It means you have control of the amount of heat that goes in this or any of your cajun recipes.
RECIPE FOR CAJUN SHRIMP
Just look at those juicy, sweet shrimp. Don’t they look delicous? With the addition of the corn on the cob and the baby red potatoes, I had a complete meal in around 45 minutes.
This cajun spicy shrimp recipe is a clean eating recipe. It is made with real food that has no preservatives in it. I love feeding my family food that I know has no chemicals in it, don’t you?
In order to make sure the potatoes and corn were done at the same time as the shrimp, I took a few minutes to parboil them. As you can see, I left the skins on the little red potatoes.
Then I dumped it all on the sheet pan, slathered on the cajun butter and baked. In no time, a perfect cajun butter shrimp meal was served.
RECIPE FOR CAJUN SHRIMP
Cajun Sheet Pan Dinner
Cajun shrimp with potatoes and corn. Slathered with a cajun butter. Easy to make, easy clean up
- 1 1/2 pounds Baby Potatoes halved
- 6 ears of mini corn on the cob (can use fresh)
- 1 1/2 pounds Large Shrimp peeled and cleaned
- 1/2 cup Butter Melted
- 4 cloves Garlic Minced
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Granulated Garlic
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with heavy duty foil. (for easy clean up)
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes until tender when pierced. Drain potatoes, and set aside.
Place cooked potatoes and shrimp, on the pan.
Make the Cajun butter by adding all of the spices to the melted butter.
Brush all of the Cajun Butter evenly over the top of everything.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the shrimp is done.
If your family is like mine, they ill love this recipe. You will love the ease of it. Another great thing about this recipe is the clean up time. Using a heavy duty foil paper on the sheet pan makes clean up easy.
