Family Night has been a tradition for a long time in my family. It is a wonderful way to wind down and spend some time reconnecting with family.
At times family night is all about watching a move and sometimes it is playing games.
Of course there is food!

Tonight we will be watching Snow White and the Huntsman! I have been wanting to see this movie for a long time. It is not a movie for young children. The movie is sort of dark and there were some scary scenes, at least for youngsters. The movie does follow the basic Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs script, and there is a happy ending! The special effects are fantastic and the acting is great. I think you would enjoy it!
Our dinner for the night consisted of Pigs in a blanket and Tater Tots with “Fry Sauce” The Tater Tots were not homemade, but I did find a recipe for them and I will be giving them a try!
Here is the recipe for the Pigs in a Blanket – it can easily be found on the Pillsbury Crescent Roll package!
Pigs in a Blanket
Heat oven to 375°F.
Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert 3 strips of cheese into each slit.
Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
Bake at 375°F. for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
I love to make a “fry sauce” for my tater tots. Mix Mayonnaise, ketchup and cayenne pepper to taste.
Hope you enjoy this quick recipe and think about watching a movie and have Pigs in a Blanket with your family!
