Lucketts. To many of you, that word needs no description! For those of you who are not familiar with Lucketts, let me tell you a little about it. The Old Lucketts Store, known by most as just Lucketts, is located in a small town by the name of Leesburg in the state of Virginia. Leeseburg, is not far from Dulles Airport if that helps give you and idea of the location.
Old Lucketts store is filled with Shabby Chic and old French style goodness! It is truly my kind of store!
Miss Mustard Seed has a corner in the store and she sells some of her new milk paint and some other great items. Here is a photo of Miss Mustard Seed’s Master Bedroom. It will give you a little idea of what her site is all about.
When Big and I first moved to Virginia, we had to live in a hotel for 2 months while trying to find a home. It was a hard time for us. Every house we put a contract on had an issue and we would end up looking for another place to live! During this time, I found Miss Mustard Seed’s blog. I would stare at it for hours and I made my mind up then, that my house would have many of the touches that Miss Mustard Seed’s house did! Miss Mustard Seed became my new best friend and inspiration.
Imagine my delight when I heard there was a possibility that I would meet the woman who helped me keep my sanity for two months! I was jumping in the air when I got an email from Hometalk, telling me I could get to meet not only Miss Mustard Seed, but also The Graphics Fairy and the author of Funky Junk Interiors! (I had been stalking them while living in the hotel also!)
Every year in the Spring, Lucketts has a wonderful Market. You can find so many great things there. I would need a much larger house than I already have to fill it with all of the things I saw that I just “had to have.”
Here are a few photos of what I saw and wanted! Of course, I have to share what I ate too. After all, I am a foodie aren’t I?
I hope you have enjoyed this little trip to Lucketts! I will be there bright and early next year and this time, I plan on taking a U-Haul!
See you soon and thanks for dropping by!
