If These Walls Could Talk

March 7, 2013 By Cynthia Leave a Comment

My home

I am inviting you back in my home today.  Not too long ago, I shared a photo of the outside of my home and my sunroom .

Our Sunroom – I wish it was this sunny right now!

Today, I want to share the walls with you.  I know that may sound like a funny thing to talk about.  A wall is a wall, right?  In my home the walls are special.  They are different.

Entry way wall

Upon entering our front door, the first thing you see is the faux painting in the foyer.  It resembles marble!

Big, our Real Estate agent and I had to step very close to the walls to make sure there was no real marble.

Here is a photo (taken from the listing of the home) that shows our kitchen.  Do you see the tiles close to the ceiling?  Not tiles at all, another wonderful paint technique.

Our kitchen (nice and clean isn’t it?)

Big’s office has a faux leather look on the top half and the look of burlwood on the bottom.  It promise the real color in the office is not a horrid pink!  My camera didn’t want to take a good photo that day!

The walls were one of the many things that pushed us in the direction of purchasing the house.  I love them.  The only problem is, I hate to make a hole in the wall to hang a painting or photo!  I make sure I pick the perfect spot and lay things out the exact way I want them.

Do you have special walls in your home?  Have you tried a faux finish?  I would love to hear about it!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you real soon!
