Food Wine Conference – what do those works concur up in your head?
Of course you are thinking great food and wine, but the Food Wine Conference is so much more than that. It is a great place to meet new friends, hug on old friends and learn.
This year was my first year to attend the Food Wine Conference. I know it will not be my last year to attend. I will be bringing Big to the 2017 conference and I know that she will enjoy all of the great food with me. One thing that I will be doing a little different next year is I will be taking a few extra days to visit Universal Studios. Of course we will stay at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek where the conference was held.
Let’s talk about the food first! Certified Angus Beef was the main sponsor of the conference and they presented us with a fantastic meal at our “Denim and Diamonds” dinner. I don’t think I have ever had a better steak in my life. The sides were great also!
CK Mondavi paired some great wines with out dinner. We were able to taste 4 great wines and they paired beautifully with our meal.
Now, please don’t get me wrong – although we did eat a lot of great food that was presented by Duda, Certified Angus Beef, Cabot Cheese, Florida Strawberries, Stone Ridge fruit and more, we also had some great classes.
Chez Us presented a great workshop on making videos. I know you have all seen those great videos that are popping up all over the internet. Soon you will be seeing a few from me. We also heard from Donatello Arpaio. Listening to her was such an inspiration. I love to hear stories from women who have made their way on their own terms. I know everyone really enjoyed listening to her speak.
Other classes at the Food Wine Conference were:
- Beyond the Green Room
- Food Styling and Photography
- Beyond the Green Room
- The Care and Feeding Of Your Blog
- Mastering your Grilling Skills
I hope to see you there in 2017! If you would like to be a part of this fun weekend, stop by the Food Wine Conference site. You can read about this year;s event and be prepared when all of the information about next year’s event comes out.
If you would like to see more photos of the event, take a minute to follow me on Instagram. I shared photos of the conference there, plus you can see what else I am up to!
Thanks so much and see you soon.
