Hi there and welcome to Feeding Big! My name is Cynthia and I am a stay at home Mom and Partner. I am in my 50’s and still discovering things about the world, life and myself. Recently, I discovered that cooking is not just about putting something to eat on the dinner table, it is about giving a gift to those you love.
For many years, I fed my family to keep them full, happy and healthy. This was, at times, difficult! I home schooled my daughter and her activities kept us on the road many days. My partner, “Big” has a job that keeps us moving, much like the military kept my Dad moving. I have cooked on a 2 burner electric plate in a hotel room more than once during some of these moves. There were usually home cooked meals though!
Life has slowed down for me in the past year or two. My daughter graduated from college and recently got married.
I also found out that I have Breast Cancer. I have had 2 surgeries and radiation therapy. I am waiting for the 5 year all clear and then I think I can breathe again.
Because of the cancer and other minor health issues, I have decided to take control of what we eat and what we put in our homes.
We have gotten rid of preservatives and chemicals in our food. We eat very little sugar or any bleached products. We also have no chemicals in the house, if we can avoid them.
I strongly believe that what we put in our bodies matters. Follow me on my journey to clean eating and clean living. I am always learning and am happy to share my knowledge and recipe with you.
