Right before I go to sleep, I like to read something that will take my mind off the day. Especially if it has been a long and stressful day.
Since my brain was beginning to shut down for sleep, I can’t remember which magazine I saw it in! It was an easy enough thing to do though!
These candy hearts are made with Wilton Candy. I used white and pink melts.
Following the instructions on the back of the Wilton Candy wrapper, I melted the candy in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes.
When the candy was completely melted, I poured it onto my Silpat Non-Stick Baking Mat and spread the melted candy in an even layer.
I let the candy cool for a few minutes, just until it was firm. I didn’t want it to be too hard.
I then took a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out my decorative hearts!
It was that easy!
You will have to come back on Sunday to see what I am going to do with them!
Hope you will give this a try! You could use any color of Wilton Candy and any shape cookie cutter! Let your imagination soar!
By the way, don’t forget to come back at 9:00 EST and link up your favorite recipe at the Foodie Friends Friday Party! It is co-hosted by me, right here on Feeding Big! There are some great prizes – you won’t want to miss out on it!
