Staycations are my families favorite way to have some summer fun. We visit great local sites, have great snacks and lots of fun.
Back to school will soon be here and so many of us are busy grabbing as much summer fun as we can before school starts again. My family loves to have mini staycations versus a long 2 or 3 week vacation. Of course we love those also, but it is so expensive to plan a long trip. Finding great places to go for a day is easy in Central Virginia. Each family member gets to pick thier favorite destination and then we head out to our favorite SNACKATION destination – Walmart. I partnered with the J.M. Smucker Company for this sponsored post. While compensation was received, all opinions and ideas are my own.
Once we have decided where we will spend the day, the next thing on the list that needs to be checked off is snacks. I don’t know about you, but my family is hungry the minute we get in the car. In order to make sure the ride to our destination is smooth and easy, I pick up great snacks at Walmart, they are our SNACKATION destination.
I know that I want to pick up foods that are easy to snack on in the car. Since I know we will be busy all day long and possible doing a lot of walking, I make sure that our snacks are filled with great protein.
Smucker’s products have been around for many years and is a name I can trust. I always have Smucker’s products in my home. My personal favorite is the Salted Caramel spread. Shhhh…don’t tell anyone, but I hide it in the back of the pantry for the days when I need a mini vacation away from our busy lives.
Make sure you stop by Walmart, your “Snackation” destination, to stock up on go-summer snack solutions. Also, make sure you stop by next week to see where we took our final Staycation of the summer and all of the great snacks we took too!
