This Spring Tea table setting was inspired by the warm weather that has finally come our way. I have been enjoying the sun and find myself sitting in our Sun Room almost daily. I love listening to and watching the birds.
As soon as I see Robins in the yard, I know that Spring will soon be here! This year, I saw about 20 Robins searching the front yard for something to eat and I got super excited. I was quickly let down when it began to snow the next day! I think the bad weather is over now. Even if there is bad weather yet to come, I know I can set this table and pretend it is Spring.
My daughter and I used to have Tea Time every Tuesday while she was homeschooling. We would try new teas, have some sort of sweet and discuss great literature. Of course, at times we discussed literature that was not so great! My daughter purchased this tea pot for me. I bring it out as soon as Spring arrives.
I received this tea mug from my Aunt Gretel. She gave it to me over 20 years ago It was made in the small town of Gt. Yarmouth in England. It holds a special place in my heart, especially since my Aunt has passed. I love the Robin on it!
Over the Christmas holidays, I went to a few antique stores. I found these beautiful Meisen berry bowls. I know they will be used often this spring and summer. There is nothing better than fresh fruit on the table.
Of course, I love to have a sweet or two on the table. My favorite sweet to have at tea time is any type of shortbread or scone.
Here are a few sweets that find their way on my tea table often!
