This sesame balls recipe is an easy no sugar and no bake cookie recipe.
If you are like me and are trying to cut sugar out of your diet, then this sesame balls recipe is for you. Heck, even if you are not concerned about the sugar in your diet, this recipe is for you.
Did you realize that sesame seeds are healthy? They are a valuable source of fiber and they are full of quality vitamins and minerals. This recipe not only has sesame seeds in it, you will also be using Tahini, which is a paste made of sesame seeds.
If you are not familiar with Tahini, you can often find it in grocery stores. If you are not able to find it at your local store, you can purchase it on Amazon (where I am an affiliate). My favorite brand is Joyva Sesame Tahini.
One of my families favorite ways to use tahini is in hummus. Another great recipe is Broccoli apple salad with tahini dressing. The broccoli salad is so delicious and easy to make. I use a tahini dressing for the salad and no mayonnaise. So healthy!
Sesame Balls Recipe, a no bake cookie
- 1 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds plus some for coating
- 1 tsp. honey
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Chop the nuts roughly in a food processor.
Transfer the chopped nuts to a mixing bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
If the mixture is too moist, add more almond meal. If too dry, add more tahini.
Shape dough into 1-2 inch balls and then roll in extra sesame seeds.
Place on lined baking sheet and refrigerate for about an hour.
Store in an airtight container for about 2 weeks (if they last that long)
