Menu planning is so much easier to do when you have a great printable planner that you can log your recipes on. I really like the planners that have an area for groceries too.
Hanging my menu plan on the refrigerator has worked for me for many years. My family never has to ask, “What is for dinner,” any more. They know where they can get the answer. We have a friend that used to live in the same city we did for a few years, she would come to the back door and ask to see what was on the menu. If it was something she liked, she would invite herself for dinner! I loved having her company and always made sure there was enough food for her!
Menu planning is great for so many reasons. For me, the most important is saving money. I can check sales and make sure I plan my menus around them. Every few months, I dig in my freezer to see what has gotten shoved in the back and make sure it makes it on my menu. I just can’t stand to throw food away!
Another reason I love menu planning is the reduction of stress. When my daughter was younger, she would have 3 or 4 different activities that she would have to be at in 1 day! (I never understood why homeschooling had the word home in it – I think it should have been car schooling) During those busy times, the first thing I would do is look at the menu and take what ever I needed out of the freezer. I knew that a home cooked dinner would be on the table every night.
I have searched the web and found some great Menu Planning Printable Planners for you. I hope one or more of them will help you plan your menu.
