As you all know, my Mother-In-Law is moving in with us. We spent yesterday unpacking a U-Haul Truck and today will be spent unpacking boxes and finding a spot for her things in an already crowded house!
So when I realized I would be overwhelmed with the moving and unpacking, I sent out a call for help. My good friend Dawn from Spatulas On Parade, agreed to share how she saves money while at the grocery store and about planning a menu! I hope you will enjoy her article as much as I do!
By the way, I now have a coupon tab on my blog! You can click on the tab and it will take you right to some really great coupons! The coupons are from Coupons(dot) com and are really great. It is one of main sources for coupons that I use. I will discuss using coupons in a future post, so be on the lookout!
I am now an affiliate with Coupons (dot) com and will receive a small monetary commission for each coupon you click on and print. Thanks for supporting me and clicking and printing coupons from my site. You guys are great!

Without further ado, here is Dawn!
Hey everybody, this is Dawn from Spatulas On Parade and I’m here today to hopefully help you out.
Wondering what the one thing I have found that saves us the most money? A menu. Yes, something as simple as making a weekly menu. Before menu planning, I just went to the store, purchased food and came home and tried to make 3 meals a day, 7 days a week for 14 days without returning to the store and without running out. That didn’t always work.
Now that I am armed with a menu and shopping list I hit the stores.
