When I am busy, I want a quick and easy recipe. This recipe for easy honey glazed carrots with chives is just that. Quick and Easy.
In about 30 minutes, you can have a healthy, clean eating vegetable recipe that your family will love. Carrots are sweet on their own, but the touch of honey I had gives them just a bit more sweetness.
Little ones will really love this recipe. I know my daughter was a huge fan of all orange vegetables. I was happy to provide her with them as often as I could.

Studies shown that a diet high in carotenoids are associated with a lower risk of heart disease.
- Reduce the risk of stroke
According to a research from Harvard University, people who ate more than six carrots a week are much less likely to suffer a stroke than those who ate only one carrot a month or more.
Carrots contain a lot of beta-carotene, which helps slow down the aging of cells and various negative effect associated with aging.
- Dental Health
Carrots can also help clean your teeth after meals. This is a new piece of information to me. A great reason to grab a fresh carrot after a meal.
In order to keep this a quick and easy recipe, make sure you use the right tools. I use a mandolin to slice my carrots. This not only makes the slicing process go faster, it also slices the carrots evenly for perfect cooking.
Easy honey glazed carrots with chives recipe:
Honey Glazed Carrots with Chives
Honey glazed carrots with chives is a side dish fit for any meal. Sweet, savory and quick and easy.
- 1 pound carrots (about 7) Sliced in rounds, about 1/4 inch thick
- 2 TBL butter
- 2 TBL Honey I use Nature Nate's Honey
- Salt and Pepper To taste
- 2 TBL Chopped chives
In a saute pan, melt butter over medium-low heat.
Add carrots, honey, salt and pepper.
Sauté for about 15 minutes or until carrots are soft. Stirring occasionally.
Top with chopped chives when ready to serve.
Honey glazed carrots with chives is a great side dish with any meal. I think I will be adding this dish to my Thanksgiving menu.
I know I will be giving this sweet potato casserole a try too. To me, sweet potatoes and Thanksgiving go hand in hand.
