I have been waning to make healthy cilantro lime dressing for some time now. I first tasted a version of this recipe when I was out of town and I fell in love with it at first bite.
Salads are a regular on my dinner table. We strive to eat at least 3 vegetables and 3 fruits every day. One way I make sure that our salads are not boring, is to try out a variety of salad dressings.
This month, I am participating in Food Blogger Love. A group of bloggers are assigned a blogging buddy and we make one of their recipes.
CILANTRO LIME DRESSING
I found a recipe for Cilantro-Lime Vinaigrette at a wonderful blog by the name of The Pajama Chef. Take some time to head over there and see what she has been cooking. You can also follow her on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter. I know you will be glad you did.
CILANTRO-LIME DRESSING RECIPE
I did make a couple of changes to this recipe to make sure it fit my clean eating lifestyle. The original recipe for cilantro lime vinaigrette called for 1/4 cup canola oil and 1/3 cup olive oil. I don’t use canola oil, so I used all olive oil.
The recipe also called for 1 tsp. white sugar. Since I don’t use white sugar any longer, I switched it up with honey. As you will see in my version of the recipe, the sugar is replaced with the exact amount of honey.
