Saturday night in my house has been game night for so many years, I can’t even remember when it wasn’t around. At times we play XBox games and there are times when we go old school and play board games! We all look forward to it and often will cancel other plans so that we don’t miss it. Even during my daughter’s teenage dating years, she would give up a date for game night! Of course her dates and all of her friends were invited to participate. It just made things that much more fun.
Game night is never complete without some great snacks. At times we like to just grab a handful of candy to pop in our mouths! Playing games can be hungry work! Big and Taylor Ann have been known to sit in front of the game system for 4 – 5 hours straight! I always make sure there is a Stand Up Pouch of M&Ms close by. Big prefers the plain M&Ms and Taylor Ann prefers the Pretzel M&Ms.
A few years ago, we purchased an XBox 360. We were so excited to get the Kinect and be able to play games that were more reality based than ever! You should see us all jumping around trying to ride rapids or get some exercise! We are a pretty crazy family!
This year, I decided to head over to Walmart and purchase the new XBox One, I know it will be a favorite in our house. I also decided to pick up the Forza Motorsport 5 game to go with it. The game will be such a surprise when the find it under the tree! I wonder how I can wrap it so they don’t figure it out!
I think I will give each of them their own bag of M&Ms too! They will make the perfect stocking stuffer.
I was happy to learn of the Buy, Snap, Redeem program at Walmart. When I purchased the Forza Motorspot 5 game, participating M&M products, I snapped a photo of the items on my recipe and got a reward code valid for a $10 eGift Card to Walmart! Isn’t that great? I will be using my eGift Card toward my next XBox One game! I just love saving money when I can!
If you are in love with M&Ms as much as we are, stop by The M&M Pixel Art Instagram contest and enter.
I can’t wait until Christmas and Big and Taylor Ann see the goodies in their stockings and the Forza Motorsport 5 game under the tree! I know there are some great Family Nights in the future!
