Chocolate Chip Cherry Scones are the perfect treat for a Valentine Tea for Two.
Last week, I shared a table setting for a romantic valentine tea for two. I hope that while you were looking at the pretty plates, tea pot and cups, you were also drooling a bit over the scones. They are drool worthy.
Here at Feeding Big, we are lovers of scones. For me, I think my love of scones started when I lived in England for a year. We would often see them at Tea Time or have them as a sweet mid-morning. For many years, it was hard to find scones in America and I was busy working and raising a young one, so I never made any for myself.
Scones are one of those wonderful treats that look difficult to make, yet they really are easy. Butter and flour are the main ingredients. Here is a tip: make sure your butter is cold and stays cold while you are working with the dough. Doing this will guarantee your scones come out perfect.
