It looks like the Federal Government will be cutting Big’s hours and therefore pay.
This means we need to learn to live on about $300.00 less per month. That may not seem like a lot of money to some, but it is to us. It equates to our heating bill and our phone bill put together. Or it could be money taken from an already tight grocery budget.
I don’t want to complain or sound like a baby, because of a pay cut. I know there are so many more in the world that have it worse than we will.
What this cut in pay has made me think about is budgeting, saving money, being more thrifty. Because of this, I am going to begin a new series on Fridays.
The series will be about living life with less money. I know there are a lot of blogs that are dedicated to budgeting, thrifting, etc., so I will not really try to compete with them. I just thought that as friends we could share some ways to live life to the fullest on less.
Something I have always wanted to do is to compare the cost of homemade to store bought. I know that making bread at home is less expensive (and better for you), but how less expensive is it? I wonder if it is cheaper to make our own extracts for baking? There are many questions like that and I hope to find the answers and share them with all of you, my friends.
I will also share some great deals that are out there on the Internet. Things like free kindle books, great sales, etc. My blog will not become a coupon clipping crazy place, I promise. What I hope it will become is a place to sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and share some interesting information.
I hope you will join me!
I am thinking of having a link option for this series. Not necessarily a party, but a way to share things with friends. What do you think?
