I have three words for you – Winter White Cosmopolitan!
Well, you know me, I have more than three words! I was recently asked to attend the grand opening of the Bonefish Grill in Potomac Mills, VA. I was honored and happy to attend. Big and I arrived a bit early and were greated by Lauren from Sandy Hillman Communications. Lauren sat us in the bar section, which had a great atmosphere, and we were immediately served a couple of their signature drinks. I tried the Winter White Cosmopolitan, it was absolutely fantastic! Now, you know I am a wine girl, but this drink was so good. I am planning a trip to Bonefish Grill, just to have one of these drinks. The Cosmopolitan is a mix of Stoli Cranberi, Contreau, fresh lime and white cranberry juice. Try one, you won’t be sorry.
On to the food! We were served tastings of all of the top favorites. Our first course consisted of Bang, Bang Shrimp, Fresh Ceviche, Twisted Edamame Hummus, Singapore Calamari and Ahi Tuna Sashimi. All of it was fantastic. Big decided that the Bang, Bang Shrimp was her favorite. The fried shrimp were covered in a creamy spicy sauce.
I think my favorite appetizer was the Ahi Tuna Sashimi. It was my first time trying Ahi Tuna and it won’t be my last. The tuna was crusted with white and black sesame seeds which gave the tuna a great crunch and flavor.
Big and I could have easily walked away at this point. We both full and were so delighted with the food we had already tasted. Oh yes, the service was stellar also!
Main dish favorites were next. We sampled salmon, grouper, Chilean Sea Bass, Sea Scallops and Shrimp and Steak. Each of the fish sampling came with a different sauce. The choices of sauce were: Mango Salsa, Herb Pesto, Pan Asian and Lemon Butter.
All of the fish tastings were superb. I am not really sure that I had a favorite. Big was in love with the grilled steak, it was tender and grilled to perfection. I know that we were served some wonderful side dishes also, but I have to admit, they took a second to the fish and steak.
Lastly we served large portions of their signature desserts. The crowd favorite was the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée. Our wonderful server, Brandon, allowed us to take home the Key Lime Pie, the Macadamia Nut Brownie and the Cheesecake with Mango Rum Sauce. I snacked on these desserts for a couple days!
We will defiantly go back to the Potomac Mills Bonefish restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service was stellar and the atmosphere was great. I want to thank Anna Bennett, the manager from Bonefish Grill and Lauren from Sandy Hillman Communications, for allowing me to partake in the grand opening.
