Have you ever wanted to change something in your life and were just not sure where to start?
Big and I began a lifestyle change that included eating clean and real food. We are also busy cleaning our environment too – that is another story!
Admittedly, it was not a difficult transition. I rarely purchased processed food, I cooked from scratch and purchased organic as often as possible. Still, the transition was, at times, confusing.
I started doing some research. Since I a lover of my local library – I started there.
I was pleased to find some really great clean eating cookbooks there. My two favorites are “Clean Eating for Busy Families” and “100 Days of Real Food“. I realized I had the books checked out for so long, I decided it was time to finally purchase them.
You might notice that the two titles are a little different. The basics of clean eating and real food are pretty much the same.
The basics are:
- They are lifestyles – not diets
- Eat 5-6 times a day
- Eat organic when possible
- Eat healthy foods
- No processed foods
- Read labels – try for no more than 5 ingredients
