Have you ever run to the grocery store for milk or some other non-essential food item and walked out with a few bags full of groceries you did not intend to buy? Of course you did! We all do.
A couple of weeks ago, I needed a gallon or milk (some wine too!) and stopped at the closest grocery store. I always walk by the meat department to see what is on sale and, trust me, this time I was not disappointed. I picked up 4 pounds of Flank Steak for a pretty good price.
The first thing that popped in my head was Fajitas! Our family lived in the Southwest for many years and we all love Mexican food! The spicier and hotter the better. Fajitas are one of Big’s favorites.
In the past, I have left making Fajitas to the experts, but no more! I found a recipe on Pioneer Woman Cooks that is to die for! Ree Drummond is not from Texas, but I think she must have visited long enough to create this recipe. I hope you try it! Let me know what you think!
Flak steak cooked just right! A little red and tasty!
Must have onions and bell peppers!
Warming up a few tortillas!
I was planning on making Pico De Gallo to go with this, but I was pooped and it didn’t happen. Perhaps another post!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you try this recipe and let me know what you think!

Oh good, I have Ree’s cookbook, I’ll have to try these. Thanks for testing the recipe it looks yummy.
